How to Download or Save Documents to a PDF (Instead of taking Screenshots)

To ensure your documents are accepted by lenders, you must save and send full PDF versions of your documents or webpages — not screenshots.

✅ Include visible headers and footers (URL, page number, date, etc.) when saving to PDF.
🚫 Most lenders will NOT accept screenshots as valid documentation.

Follow the steps below for your device:

💻 From a Computer (Windows or Mac)

  1. Open the document or webpage you want to save.

  2. Press Ctrl + P (on Windows) or Command + P (on Mac) to open the print dialog.

  3. In the printer selection dropdown, choose “Save as PDF”.

  4. Click Save.

  5. A window will appear — name your file and select where to save it.

  6. Click Save again to finish.

📱 From an iPhone (Safari Browser)

  1. Open the document or webpage in Safari.

  2. Tap the Share icon (a square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom center).

  3. Scroll down and tap Print.

  4. On the print preview screen, use two fingers to zoom in (pinch out) on the preview — this opens the full-page PDF.

  5. Tap the Share icon again.

  6. Tap Save to Files.

  7. Choose a folder (e.g., iCloud Drive or On My iPhone) and tap Save.

  8. You’ll find your saved PDF in the Files app, under Recents or your selected folder.

🤖 From an Android Device (Google Chrome or Browser)

  1. Open the document or webpage you want to save.

  2. Tap the three-dot menu icon (usually in the top-right corner).

  3. Tap Share, then select Print.

  4. In the printer dropdown, choose “Save as PDF”.

  5. Tap the PDF or Save icon.

  6. Choose a location on your phone (e.g., Downloads) and tap Save.

  7. Access the file through your Files app, under Downloads or Recents.
